The method of calculating the World Book Index

To calculate the World Book Index, which ranks the world's countries, we used the following method:

Using the Human Development Index (HDI) according to the UN 2025 report and using the World Happiness Report (WHR) from the University of Oxford and the UN.

Calculation:


(HDI multiplied by 100) + (WHR multiplied by 10), the total is divided by two to obtain a number ranging from 33 for the lowest country to 86 for the highest.

The country ranked first is the best country in the ranking with a World Book score of 86.
